RBC// “China is keeping on adhering to the plans on development of its nuclear industry, in spite of the crisis in Japan. It was informed by Tian Qiash, representative of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. He noted that they were sure in their technologies and safety”, -reports Associated Press. As he explained, the Chinese specialists had learned a good lesson from the accidents in Chernobyl NPP and American Three Mile Island. He specified that new projects had not been started up yet, but it does not mean that they would give up on these plans. "We shall not stop eating for fear of swallowing the wrong way", - said Т. Qiash. 7 NPPs with 13 reactors are operating in China. 26 more with 53 reactors are expecting their turn for construction.
