On 9 February 2011 National Nuclear Power Generating Company of Ukraine (NNPGC) “Energoatom” and JSC Atomstroyexport signed a contract agreement on the development of technical design for reactor facilities VVER-100 of B-392 project and on supply of equipment for reactor facilities for power units 3 and 4 in Khmelnitskiy NPP.
This is a frame Agreement which provides for signing a number of contracts including the ones on the development of reactor facilities technical design, on manufacturing, supply, testing and commissioning of reactor facility equipment and designer supervision within the warranty period.
ON THE PROJECT
Under NNPGC “Energoatom” requirements the lifetime of the equipment in VVER-100 project is increased and amounts to 60 years – for reactor vessel, 60 years – for steam generators, 50 years – for other reactor building equipment. The increase of the equipment lifetime is achieved by means of evolutionary design and structural modifications.
