Memorandum on cooperation in NPP construction in China with demo fast neutron reactors of БH-800 type was signed in April of 2009. JSC Atomstroyexport was appointed to be a head company – project coordinator from the Russian side.

In October 2009 in Beijing during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to China the contract on pre-design works performance and construction of two power units with fast neutron reactors was signed. The Contract is concluded between JSC Atomstroyexport and Chinese Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) jointly with Chinese Nuclear Energy Industry Company (CNEIC).

At the end of 2009 and in the first half of 2010 pre-design research on justification of two power units construction in China with fast neutron reactors was conducted. The draft of commercial offer for the contract on Technical NPP project is prepared.

Draft Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of CPR on cooperation in construction of NPP within the territory of China comprising of two units with fast neutron demo reactors is prepared and under the parties’ discussion.
